A club for amateurs and professionals. Since 1970 Camera Rochester has sought to stimulate interest in photography for people in the greater Rochester area. The photographic skills of the club's members are as diverse as the members themselves. Graphics, nature, portraits, landscapes, close-up, fine art and technical photography are just some of the subjects that make bi-monthly meetings interesting. Members capture images with both film and digital cameras.
Competitions for Large & Small color prints, Monochrome prints, Slides and Alternative Processes are held on the first Monday of the month.
Programs including demonstrations and lectures, occur on the third Monday of the month. Members learn from guest speakers about a wide range of photographic subjects, including past and present photographic techniques.
Camera Rochester members help each other learn more about cameras and photographic techniques in a friendly atmosphere. It is never too early or too late to start taking photographs. If you enjoy photography then please consider joining us-guests are always welcome. Meetings are held at The Baptist Temple, 1101 Clover Street, Rochester on the first and third Mondays of each month (except July and August) at 7:15 p. m.
