From a 1940 edition of The Noblesville Ledger published prior to the second annual fish fry: "Although not as large in members as some of the clubs in their zone, the Carmel Club has done a great deal of community work and has made progressive strides for the betterment of the club itself. They have their own hall and serve their own banquets. Apparently every member recognizes his obligation and from all appearances, does his full share of Lionism."
