About Us

Carraig Farm (Carraig being Gaelic for stone) is the Leclerc homestead located in Ashby, Ma.  Sustainable and chemical free practices are used including rotational grazing, herbal worming, vermiculture and natural composting - we would simply have it no other way. All land is under a forest stewardship plan along with sound agricultural and replanting plans.

The land that surrounds us feeds our 3 children year round with fresh vegetables, fruit, poultry, goat, lamb and fuel for the New England winters. Originally cow pasture in the early 1900's, the pasture wells are still intact along with the miles of beautiful mossy and handbuilt stone walls. 

Goat and lamb along with vegetables, jams, chutneys and eggs (duck and chicken) are available year round. We additionally have our own tanned and washable pelts, wool and yarn for sale. Grass fed lamb and goat are available whole, half or by the cut. Feel free to call ahead for yearly birthing schedules or check our website for up to date information.

Visit our new farmstore to see our entire line of our own goat milk soaps and our many, many natural body products. During the summer months we are available to open farm store for you by apointment and open every weekend beginning in November through Christmas for holiday shopping. In order to save on shipping you are welcome to order on our website and pickup on the farm.
