Mission Statement:
It is the mission of Cedar Ridge School District to provide each student the
appropriate opportunities which allow for the development of the student's whole
being
to the upper limits of their capability. In an effort to assure these
opportunities, the
curriculum should reflect the uniqueness of each child so that individual needs
might be
met in an effort to help each child become a contributing member of a changing
society.
In an effort to accomplish our mission the Cedar Ridge School District has
developed
the following list of goals:
1. Cedar Ridge Schools will assist students in mastering the basic skills of
literacy and
math.
2. Students will graduate with a marketable skill.
3. Students will demonstrate patriotism and become contributors in the
decisionmaking
processes of the political system and other institutions of the community,
state, country, and world.
4. Students will develop attitudes and behavior leading to the appreciation,
maintenance, protections, and improvement of the total environment.
5. Students will develop habits pertaining to sound bodies and minds. They will
recognize and participate in leisure time activities that encourage mental and
physical development.
6. Students will participate in activities that lead to improved interpersonal
problem
solving and conflict resolution skills.
7. Students will participate in activities that foster team-building
relationships.
8. Professional development will be provided to staff that is geared toward
increased
student achievement.
9. Classroom teachers will utilize technology to increase student achievement.
