About
Central Noble Community School Corporation consists of Noble, York, Albion, Jefferson Townships in Noble County, Indiana. The district is located approximately thirty minutes north of Fort Wayne and fifty minutes east of South Bend, and two and one-half hours north of Indianapolis. Central Noble is located in the heart of the lake country, encompassing the Chain O'Lakes State Park. There are many opportunities for a quiet and comfortable lifestyle.
Noble County is 411 square miles in size and has a labor force of 24,610. The current employment stands at 23,820 with an unemployment rate of 3.2%. As of 1995, 11,190 people were employed in manufacturing, 6,260 in non-manufacturing, and 2,320 in local and state government.
The school system consists of Albion Elementary, Central Noble High School and Central Noble Middle School at the county seat in Albion and an elementary school at Wolf Lake. Central Noble Community School Corporation, with a student population of 1,468, lives up to its mission statement and enhances the community.
