Central View opened during the 1951-1952 school term when four schools, Center Point, Shady Grove, Gum Spring, and Mt. Riverette consolidated. Later Quebeck and Walling schools moved to Central View and about 1966 Hensley's Chapel moved here also. Mr. Burl Johnson was the first principal and the other teachers were Mrs. Vera Fisher, Mrs. Elizabeth Greene, and Mrs. Dola Cooper. Burl Johnson taught at Central View until 1965 when he moved to White County High School and taught until he retired in May 1989.
