The focus of our program is data collection and research. We collect data for the MD/DC Breeding Bird Atlas Project, our local Feederwatch, the Great Backyard Bird Count, and the Audubon Christmas Bird Count.

Many of the students conduct ornithological research projects, and a number of our students have received recognition for their research accomplishments.
