Our school was originally called New Haven Middle school before being named Cesar Chavez Middle School.

The school opened in the year 1978 to the public and from there on was a successful school.

Between the years 1995-1996 the school's name was changed from New Haven Middle School to Cesar Chavez Middle School.

The first principal to run the school was a man named Mr. Flanagan.
