The mission of the Chelmsford Public Schools is to cultivate the development of students into educated, self-confident, lifelong learners and responsible citizens who possess personal integrity and the ability to succeed in a global society.

Mission

While accepting the Chelmsford Public Schools’ mission, Chelmsford High School’s specific mission is as follows: Chelmsford High School is an educational community of students, teachers, parents, administrators, support staff and alumni working together to create a safe, supportive environment open to a free exchange of ideas. The community prepares members to become active lifelong learners who work to express clear, thoughtful questions, search for answers, draw conclusions and share their knowledge using a variety of media. All members support and encourage others to grow, to learn, and to reach their full potential by becoming actively involved in our community. A spirit of respect is fostered, as members take responsibility for their actions and acknowledge the rights and differences of others.

Core Values

Chelmsford High School believes that schools must be safe environments in order for effective learning to occur; must promote among students a respect for self and others; must be models of democracy and order; must demonstrate the principles of equality and justice; and must apply rules and consequences fairly. Chelmsford High School also believes that schools should offer an environment that affords excellent, numerous, and varied learning experiences for students and teachers.
