About Us:

Cherokee County Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Cherokee County. The District appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP). The District also collects taxes for jurisdictions within Cherokee County. Our Lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Please refer to our Holiday Schedule page for a list of observed holidays.
