About the Chamber
The Chester County Chamber of Commerce was organized in May, 1976, with its objective listed in the Bylaws “to encourage, promote and support the agricultural, commercial, educational and industrial interests of the City of Henderson and Chester County.” The Chamber of Commerce is non-political, non-sectional and non-sectarian.
It is now a place where newcomers go to get information on housing, schools, jobs, recreation, parks or historical sites; where industries or new businesses interested in relocating consult; where business itself improves through a united stand for progress in the community.
The Chester County Chamber of Commerce is “PEOPLE” centered----an organization with the community’s economic well-being as its major responsibility. It is composed of business and professional men and women engaged in producing and distributing goods and services. As a public relations department, the Chamber has available all the information concerning the City and County. The Chamber office is able to answer streams of questions asked by newcomers, prospective business persons and industries looking for a new site location. During the year the Chamber sends out over 40 relocation packs to interested newcomers.
As a non-profit organization, the Chamber is financed on a voluntary basis from city and county government and from dues collected from the Chamber membership, and should be viewed as investment in the business community.
Any reputable individual, corporation or partnership wishing to cast its vote for progress should join the Chamber and be a part of working for a better future for our community.
The Chamber of Commerce can benefit every member, but can only be as effective as its membership. The Chamber of Commerce enables businessmen to accomplish collectively what no one could or would do individually.
