About Us:
Chicago Art Deco Society was founded in 1981.CADS is a not for profit organization devoted to preserving all things Deco.
Barbara Capitman encouraged a group of Chicago Architecture Foundation members to form the group after a week devoted to Deco in Chicago. Lynn Abbie was the first president and served for 10 years. Chuck Kaplan was our second president and retired in November, 2000.
