The Child Care Resource Center is a private non-profit agency created in 1988 as an initiative of the Nord Family Foundation. The agency’s need in the community derived from local and national research, which indicated a direct correlation between deprivation in quality early childhood experiences and the social problems of teenagers.
The CCRC offers the following services:
The Child Care Resource Center offers FREE resource and referral services to families seeking child care in Lorain, Erie, Huron, Seneca and Sandusky Counties.
The CCRC also provides professional development and one-on-one technical asistance to help with start up of family home businesses and child care centers.
We also administer the Child and Adult Care Food Program for Family Child Care Home Businesses.
We work with corporations and businesses to enhance HR departments to handle employee child care needs and provide resources for employers and employees.
