Chimacum School District

91 West Valley Road
360-385-3922

History

The name Chimacum originated from the Chimakum Valley Indians, who inhabited the area until treaties were signed with settlers, and boundaries were formed. The first school was built in 1915 and was used as Kindergarten through Eighth grade until it burned in 1943. It was later rebuilt in the present site and continues to be in use today as a K-12 school.

District Highlights

The school board has adopted school improvement plans from all grade levels and will continue to monitor these plans annually in an effort to continually improve student instruction.
