Vision:
To find the people of God and preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God to them. To preach and teach the Word of God in its entirety, line upon line, precept upon precept. To root out, pull down, destroy, throw down, to build, plant and take back what is commanded by the Bible as it pertains to God, the family and society, on a local, national, and international level. To evangelize by teaching, preaching, building schools and to educate ourselves and our children in the ways of God.
To develop people and their potential, to take dominion in the world of business, finance, education, etc. To build retirement centers, schools, etc. To help the people of God become strong financially and acquire other properties for development as led by the Holy Spirit. Thus, fulfilling the Old Testament commission to Adam and Eve of, Have dominion over the earth and subdue it. To go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, doing this though a life-style that lives and preaches the Word with signs and wonders following.
History:
Christ Centered Church, Inc. was established in September 1987, as an Independent, Non-Denominational Ministry. We held our first worship service on Sunday, September 20, 1987 in the MGN Regency Hotel on Highway 70 West, now the Best Western Hotel of Goldsboro. After worshipping with us that Sunday, Sister Aleva Monroe offered us the use of a trailer she owned on National Drive in the Central Heights Community, there we stayed until February of 1988. We then moved to 606 A Street and remained faithful in that facility until the owners offered it for sale in October of 1992, at which time we purchased it. In July of 1993, 1303 Florida Street was purchased and is now our Worship Center and 606 A Street is our Administrative/Multipurpose Facility.
God gave the vision for the Church and we only followed His lead. Many ministries have been added to the church since its inception, and we are continually experiencing the move of God and growth. God will put the vision in a vessel, but it's up to the vessel to bring it forth. "This is God's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes."
One of the many signs of our continual spiritual growth is, we no longer call ourselves an Independent, Non-Denominational Church. For we are not independent of the Body of Christ, nor have we ever been denominational. We are simply a New Testament Church, following all the New Testament's teaching of our Lord Christ Jesus. We are simply a New Testament , Apostolic and Prophetic Church, following all the New Testaments teaching of our Lord Christ Jesus.
