Mission

Christ Lutheran Church is an assembly of baptized believers in Jesus Christ called, gathered and enlightened by the Holy Spirit through Word and the Sacraments. As a metropolitan congregation of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, it has a mission as a leader that is local, regional, national and international and that mission includes the following:

-To offer the best worship experience possible in keeping with the Lutheran understanding of the Word and Sacraments and with Lutheran tradition
-To be an inclusive congregation inviting all to come to faith in Jesus Christ, to share our gospel vision and to be part of our mission
-To educate all our members helping them to grow in faith in Jesus Christ and to relate that faith to life
-To serve the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of members and non-members alike, to be an advocate for justice and a loving presence in the lives of those who are hurt or hurting.
-To encourage its members to be good stewards of their time, talents and treasures in response to God's love, to the church's mission locally and throughout the world, and to human need.
