The Frankfort City government exists to advance the quality of living in the City by providing a range of services advacing the health, safety, economic well-being and convenience of residents, visitors and organizations within the City. This responsibility is carried out by providing services, esatblishing and enforcing regulations and creating an environment that is conducive to appropriate and sustainable economic activity in the City. Frankfort City government cooperates with the state, county and other local governments in exercising their responsibilities and assisting private individuals and organizations to achieve these ends.

Frankfort City government has a leadership responsibility to advance an organizational and financial framework that establishes and maintains and acceptable humane standard of living for its residents. It seeks to provide a network of programs to ward off threats to a safe and healthful environment. It established and operates educational, recreational and utility services to enhance each resident's opportunities to maximize their social, economic and intellectual development and enjoy the safety and convenience of their made and natural environments.

Frankfort City government seeks to carry out these roles in a cost effective and timely manner. It is dedicated to making services accessible to residents without discrimination as to race, creed, gender or national origin.
