Our Mission

The City of Sweetwater is primarily responsible for maintaining a safe, pleasant environment within the community by providing effective governance and the efficient delivery of public services. In the process of providing representative local government, the city identifies and anticipates concerns, problems, and opportunities and takes actions to address them.

The City government also provides a catalyst for the involvement of residents, businesses, and organizations in the development and maintenance of a well-integrated community. The City is responsible for the preservation of community physical and aesthetic assets, and for the efficient management and equitable allocation of community fiscal resources.

Essential to accomplishing the objectives outlined above is the selection, training, motivation, and retention of highly qualified men and women as City employees.
