Community Church was founded on July 21, 1996 in Decatur, Tx. A passion for Jesus Christ and great compassion for our community shapes our attitude and fuels a ministry that makes a difference. Our worship services are comtemporary and exciting. Our ministry is relational. Our teaching is thoroughly biblical. Our mission is global. Our goal is to enjoy and exalt Jesus Christ.

We believe that eternal life comes by the Grace of God alone through Faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by any works Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe that Jesus Christ is the One and Only Son of God, the Eternal God-Man, born of a virgin, Who proved he was God by miracles, signs and by living a sinless life, Who suffered and died on the cross and took the punishment for the sins of all those who would believe and trust in Him, that Jesus rose again from the dead on the third day and lived among the disciples for 40 more days, then ascended into heaven to the Right Hand of God the Father, where He ever lives to make intercession for us and will one day come again at the time of His second coming.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the One and Only God, Who was with God from the beginning, Who was poured out on believers at Pentecost, and Who enters a person's heart and life when they repent and by faith ask Jesus to save them and come into their heart.

We believe in the inerrant Word of God - the Holy Bible, which is the true source of all of our doctrine, teaching, and beliefs.

We are a united body of believers seeking to carry out the will of God in all that we do. We are committed to reflecting the true character of Christ in a fallen world. We have humble, teachable hearts, and we constantly strive to be real, genuine, and transparent so others can see Christ in us. We have a desire to be like-minded and of one accord in all we do, with our central focus always being on the face of Christ, our Chief Shepherd. We are committed to prayer, discipleship, true fellowship, and evangelism of the lost and hurting in our community and our world. We take care of each other out of genuine love and concern, and we will continue to strive to love and nurture each other and others God may add to our numbers in the future with the compassionate, unwavering love of Jesus Christ.

Our aim is to fulfill God's heavenly vision He has for us, our families, and this body of believers through complete obedience, a servant attitude, and application of biblical truths in our everyday lives.
