About Us:

Community Place, a nonprofit organization, serves elders with short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.  We were founded in 1932 as Community Hospital of Jackson, Miss and were chartered by the Secretary of State in 1934.  We moved to Langley Avenue in 1938 and have been growing ever since. 

We are one of only 14 homes in our state on the Eden Alternative Registry for our efforts in creating a Human Habitat for our elders.  We are charged with de-institutionalizing eldercare and focusing on the elder, not the system.

We are now embarking on a relocation initiative.
