The Concord Carlisle Scholarship Fund was established in 1966 by five Concord Carlisle Regional School Committee members. The Fund is exempt from Federal income tax as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. Since its inception, the Fund has supported over 600 students in higher education, many for four years, who have attended high school in Concord or reside in Concord or Carlisle.
The Trustees, all residents of Carlisle and Concord, award scholarships. They raise money, supervise its investment, interview and select the students to receive scholarships each spring, and administer scholarships for several other local organizations. The Fund is associated with Dollars for Scholars, a national scholarship organization which serves as a valuable resource. The Trustees also assist donors wishing to honor a special citizen, teacher, or loved one by establishing a named fund.
