Connections Academy is an alternative middle school designed to provide interim assistance to at-risk students in grades 6 through 8. Connections opened in the fall of 2001.

Open to students at all four Canton City middle schools, the program is designed to allow students who may be having difficulties at their home school to have opportunity for alternative placement. After demonstrating sufficient progress at Connections, the student returns to his or her home school.
