School History

County Christian  School (CCS) began in the spring of 1980 when  the board of Christian Fellowship Church opened a school for 100 students. In 1995, CFC purchased property in Ashburn and moved the church to that location. CCS received approval by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors for 250 students in preschool, and 600 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

The plan was to have kindergarten through third grade in place at the Ashburn location by the start of the school year in September 1995. With the support of the church and community, CCS opened its doors at the Ashburn location with students from two years old through fifth grade.

In 2007, Christian Fellowship School and Faith Christian School consolidated to form Christian Faith & Fellowship School. Once the consolidation was final and the merger proved to be a success, our name was changed a final time to County Christian School, which better conveys our mission area as an organization and is more inclusive of the families we serve. CCS is not restricted to a single church membership, nor are we exclusive to the Ashburn area. We serve Loudoun and surrounding counties.

County Christian School was awarded the prestigious Association of Christian Schools International, (ACSI) in July of 2007 and this accreditation was renewed in 2014.. We are proud of the fact that CCS is Loudoun County’s only ACSI accredited Christian school.

County Christian School currently serves more than 350 students enrolled in early education through eighth grade. In 2009, we added our on-line program allowing homeschool students as well as public school students the opportunity to participate in Bible, AP and dual-enrollment courses. As early as fourth grade, students may elect to take an on-line enrichment course.
