Mission:
Coupeville School District is guided by a 2011-2016 Continuous Improvement Plan that defines the district vision, mission and goals.
About Us:
The Coupeville School District is located on the central portion of Whidbey Island in Puget Sound, Washington. The Washington State Ferry system connects the island with the I-5 corridor and the Olympic Peninsula. Islanders also have the option of using the Deception Pass Bridge to reach the mainland.
Our rural community includes several county and state parks and Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve. Population centers include Coupeville (the county seat for Island County) and Greenbank. Residential developments in the county alternate with multiple-acre home sites, farms, prairies, and forested areas. Within our district boundaries are:
miles of beach access for public use
state and county parks, as well as parks within the Town of Coupeville
the Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve
farms and forests
Whidbey General Hospital
Island County Courthouse and county agencies
Pacific Northwest Arts School
Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce
The Town of Coupeville has a healthy business and arts community. Fast food, movie theaters, and other entertainment options are in nearby Oak Harbor, about 15 minutes from Coupeville. Island Transit provides convenient transportation at no charge. Depending on mainland and ferry traffic, Seattle is about 90 minutes away.
