There is a lot to the Covington Bible Church.

• We are a conservative congregation that takes the Word of God seriously.
• We try to stay in tune with what is going on around us, but we avoid fads.
• Our music reflects a variety of styles.  We try to provide opportunities for the members of our congregation to participate in worshiping our Lord in song.
• We emphasize family.  Included in our family emphasis is a welcome to those who find themselves alone.  We want to include you in our family.  
• Most of our preaching tends to be expository--an explanation of the meaning of a Bible text, and help in applying it to our lives.
• We have a number of opportunities for people to plug into smaller groups.  As you surf around our website, you'll notice some of them.
• While we are privileged to minister in the lovely Alleghany Highlands, we believe that we have a mandate for ministry that is worldwide.  The fact that Doug Williams, our Senior Pastor, spent most of his adult life reaching out to a mostly unknown people group in South America, and that Pastor Emeritus, Howard Merrell, is involved in missions in Micronesia and elsewhere, pretty well indicates our vision for reaching the world.
