Goals:
By the end of the 2006-2007 school year we will achieve the following goals:
Improve reading comprehension as measured by Iowa’s standardized tests with 5% fewer students scoring in the low proficiency range. (0-4%ile)
Increase or maintain the number of students I grades K-3 who are reading on grade level.

Improve mathematics achievement in grades 4, 8, and 11 by decreasing by 5% the number of students scoring in the low proficiency range (0-4%ile) on Iowa’s standardized tests.

Improve science scores on Iowa’s standardized tests by increasing the percent of students scoring I the proficient or high ranges by 5%.

The Creston Community School District will establish a climate of mutual respect and open communication.

In addition, the following beliefs were added:

We believe the Creston School District should operate with sound finances.

We believe the Creston School District should provide quality school buildings and grounds for all the educational needs of our students.

We believe the Creston School District should provide a safe learning environment.
