The mission of the Culpeper Presbyterian Church is to serve God as we proclaim and embody His love in Jesus Christ, by ministering to the whole person, spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually in the congregation, in the community and in the world. We seek to carry out this ministry through the giving of our time, talents, and resources through our discipleship in the service of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Our Mission in the Congregation
In order to minister to the members of the congregation and to equip them for their ministry in the world we are called:
To faithfully proclaim God's love revealed in Jesus Christ to all, and to call all Christians to remember their ultimate allegiance to Jesus Christ as Lord.
To provide joyous and celebrative worship as an offering of our praise to God and as a vehicle through which God's word may be imparted to the church.
To provide a learning environment in which all ages can become equipped for the ministry as the servant people of God.
To provide opportunities for the stewardship of personal time, talents and resources for the ministries given to us in Christ's name.
To provide a community of Christian love characterized by warmth, mutual caring, reconciliation and respect in spite of individual differences.
Our Mission in the World
"The congregation reaches out to people, communities, and the world to share the good news of Jesus Christ, to gather for worship, to offer care and nurture to God's children, to speak for social justice and righteousness, to bear witness to the truth and to the reign of God that is coming into the world."
