The Cultural Alliance of Medfield is a 501-c-3 non-profit coalition of organizations. Our mission is to nurture, support and promote culture in Medfield.

ABOUT US

Like many small New England communities, Medfield has strong ties to its colonial history and works hard to maintain its cultural and rural character in the 21st century. This is evidenced by historic preservation, open space, and cultural and recreational activities.

The Cultural Alliance of Medfield (CAM) was established in 2015 by a small but committed group of cultural leaders initially working on the Downtown Cultural District (DCD). The DCD began in 2012 and focuses on developing cultural activities and partnerships within a two block area in the heart of downtown. The DCD work continues.

In 2014, the largest redevelopment opportunity in the town’s history at the Medfield State Hospital meant there could be a second Cultural District and that an umbrella organization was needed to represent the greater cultural needs of the community. The Cultural Alliance of Medfield’s mission is to nurture, support and promote all cultural activities in town by non-profit organizations, individual artists, volunteer led associations, and the Cultural Council.
