The Hawks Program is designed to introduce young runners to the fundamentals of track and field training- specifically the running and jumping events. The Hawks will provide a competitive track and field program for athletes in the community by bringing youth athletes together who never ran before, but have a love for running.
Our training approach will impact athletes throughout their career and life. Even though track is primarily an individual sport, We focus on methods that encourage team work, discipline, hard work and self respect in every athlete.
We offer a Track program in the Spring and a Cross-Country program in the Fall. In the Winter Kids and Adults will be able to join the HAWKS Strength Building & Conditioning Clinic, 1-3 session will be offered. Participants are divided into ability/age groups and focus on exercises, drills and strength that match their current abilities.
OUR GOAL
Is to offer an introduction to the sport of track and field by exposing children to the multiple disciplines of track while helping athletes gain an appreciation for what it means to maintain a level of fitness.
We can always use help of parents and friends to help our young athletes reach their fullest potential. No experience is needed, just a desire to help and learn.
