The Currituck County Public Library, is located at 4261 Caratoke Highway in front of the campus of Currituck County Middle School. The library provides information and recreational materials in a variety of formats to the citizens of the County. The library is a member of the East Albemarle Regional Library System and makes the resources of the counties of Currituck, Dare, Camden, and Pasquotank available to the residents of Currituck County.

Loans books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs and videos
Provides reference and genealogy materials in print, microfilm, microfiche and computer file format for in-house use
Makes computers available for public access to the Internet, Microsoft Office, World Book Encyclopedia Online and the NC Live collection of computerized databases
Offers free computer classes to patrons
Sponsors children and adult programs such as Summer Reading Club, the Currituck Speaker's Forum and the annual Make-it-take-it Ornament Workshop
Provides weekly story time for pre-school children and toddlers
Provides delivery service to shut-ins, nursing homes, and day-care centers
Thrice weekly courier service brings materials from the counties of Pasquotank, Camden, and Dare to Currituck residents
Offers inter-library loan service for materials from libraries throughout the country
Offers books-by-mail service to residents of Knotts Island and Gibbs Woods
Makes available meeting rooms for community meetings
Provides a photocopy machine and fax service
Makes available tax forms and NC Voter Registration Applications/Update Mail-in Forms
Houses a reference and circulating collection of North Carolina historical and cultural materials
Sponsors the Currituck County Library TAG (Teen Advisory Group)
