The City of Delano and Franklin Township are located in the southeastern corner of Wright County, Minnesota, just 27 miles from downtown Minneapolis, west on Interstate 394 and US Hwy 12. The scenic South Fork of the Crow River runs through the community. Delano prides itself in a “Spirit of Community” growing at a steady but limited pace to retain the “small town” atmosphere. Delano also boasts one of the lowest tax rates in the State of Minnesota and the highest test scores in our schools. Delano is also known for its spectacular 4th of July Celebration.
