History:
The DAC is a 501c 3 non-profit organization with an all volunteer board. The board serves with distinction to lead the efforts of the organization. Many aspects of the community are represented through the members and they bring a varied expertise to the panel. The DAC is funded through a portion of the receipts from hotel-motel taxes generated by the City of Denison, donations from galleries, studios, and patrons, through funding from local foundations, individuals, and grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts and the NEA.

"To promote, encourage, and otherwise develop cultural activities in order to serve the needs of all citizens through participation, exposure, and educational opportunities."
