DCYF works to ensure that families with children are a prominent and valued segment of San Francisco's social fabric by supporting activities in every neighborhood. DCYF supports and encourages citywide policy and planning for families, provides strategic funding of community-based programs that support families, and provides information and public engagement through a family resources website and a series of citywide family events.
