About Us

The Derry Area Aqua Club is a part of the Chestnut Ridge Swim League. Our primary objective is to teach developmental swimming from kindergarten through high school age. We emphasize stroke technique for all four strokes and strength and endurance training. We promote self-esteem and good sportsmanship. We believe success breeds success. Although competition is not required of a swimmer, we feel it is a good individual and team experience. The club is not only an important training ground for the swimmer who intends to join the varsity swim team in the future but for anyone who enjoys swimming. The club is directed by parents and coached by a well-trained staff.
