Even though the Assemblies of God was formed in 1914, it was not until 1939 that Disney Assembly of God was formed. The town of Disney did not exist until the build of the Pensacola Dam began. When construction started the town of Disney sprung up and there was an influx of people in the area.

With the influx of people, God called upon his people to start a church. On January 19, 1939, Rev. O.M. Loflin began to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ, preaching and teaching the word of God. By October 24, 1939 the members of Disney Assembly of God were able to finish a building in which to hold services and with the help of Rev. Marvin D. Hartz, the chruch was set in order. On that day Disney Assembly of God accepted 14 charter members and Rev. O.M. Loflin was retained as Pastor. None of these charter members are left within the church, but the church continues preaching the Gospel and sharing the love of Christ with the community.

Since it's beginnings, Disney Assembly of God has seen many victories, salvations, and healings. It has been pastored by some great men and women of God. And it continues to see the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit.
