Our Mission:
The Dorchester Chamber of Commerce was incorporated on February 24, 1941, at that time known as the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is organized to achieve the objectives as stated here:
Create an environment and sponsor programs favorable to new business development and the growth and expansion of the current business community.
Represent and inform the business community on legislative and political issues at all levels of government.
Address issues and actions, which may be detrimental to the expansion and growth of the business community.
Promote the Competitive Enterprise System by developing a strong relationship between the business and the educational community.
Initiate activities of a civic, social and cultural nature which will improve community relations and values.
Provide a broad range of membership services and benefits that will attract and retain an ever-increasing number of satisfied "customers" of the Chamber.
Vision Statement
The Dorchester Chamber of Commerce will be the County's most respected and proactive business advocacy organization. The Chamber will provide quality leadership and facilitate economic growth through responsive membership services, political activity and regional partnerships.
