Our beautiful school is home to over 600 children and faculty from grades K-2.

As our community and school complex contiues to grow we strive to create a warm, friendly, family atmosphere for our students.

Every year our children take part in a character building initiative , which teaches them about kindness and respect towards others. In past years they have learned about the meaning of such words as friendship, peace and sharing while creating a beautiful flower garden in the front of our school.

This year boys and girls are participating in our "Manners Matter" program. We'll be concentrating on a new word every month (please,thank you, etc.) and earning rewards for accomplishments.

Our school's curriculum incorporates all aspects of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. A great amount of our classroom instruction at the primary level centers around the areas of reading and mathematics. This is also the age where science and social studies curriculum is introduced along with library, computer, spanish, art, music and physical education. Many other supporting services are also avaliable to the children.

Our school's parents are a valuable part of the success, which we experience! From our Family Play Nights to the School Book Fairs and Our Annual Food Drive, our parents play an active part at the E.H. Slaybaugh Elementary School everyday. Thank you to our wonderful parents!!
