Earhart Middle School
History:
Amelia Earhart Middle School, located in the Orangecrest/Woodcrest neighborhoods of Riverside, opened its doors in September, 1995. Located in the former orange groves of Gless Ranch, Earhart began with a population of 650 students and currently has 1,550. Earhart is structured with humanities Cores (Language Arts and World History) in the 7th grade and four subject Interdisciplinary Teams (Language Arts, U.S. History, Science and Math) in the 8th grade. 7th graders have a 6-part Exploratory Wheel and 8th graders have trimester electives, as well as year long electives in Spanish I, French I, Chorus and Advanced Band. We have GATE, ELD, AVID, Special Education, and Skills Review programs, in addition to the regular offerings.
