East Cherokee Community Church is a non-denominational, evangelical congregation. After 25 years as Promised Land Bible Church, we changed our name in 2006 so that we could better identify with our new vision and ministry to the surrounding communities.

Our church is located on 18 acres and includes a 200-seat auditorium with a fellowship hall and educational wing. Outdoor amenities for the community to enjoy feature a large children’s playground, a covered pavilion suitable for potlucks and reunions, huge playing fields for sports or camping, and a mile-long walking trail.

We believe following Christ is the greatest thing on earth. Our mission is to grow committed followers of Jesus Christ in the East Cherokee County area and beyond. We do this through our two core values; evangelism (Matthew 28:19-20) and edification (Ephesians 4:11-16).

The oversight and care of the church is done by a team of elders. Mike McCrum has been our pastor-elder since 2003. He is a 1985 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. Mike and his wife Debbie have four children and have lived in Cherokee County since 1986.
