History:
The seed that was to become East Peacham Baptist Church was planted in May of 1976 as Rev. Neil and Francis "Frankie" Bradley returned to the Bradley family homestead in East Peacham. The Bradleys began a Bible study which was under the sponsorship of Pineville Park Baptist Church of Pineville, Louisiana, a former pastorate of Rev. Bradley. Southern Baptist work in the state of Vermont was in its infancy at this time and the Bradleys quickly became involved in local and statewide efforts.
Rev. Bradley's Bible study grew to the point that a building was purchased in East Peacham on February 17, 1978. The building was dedicated as Peacham Baptist Chapel on August 12, 1979. The Peacham Fellowship was officially constituted as a church on February 13, 1983 with twenty-five charter members.
