The Elgin Independent School District (EISD) comprises of more than 168 square miles in portions of Bastrop, Lee and Travis Counties and provides educational facilities and resources to meet the needs of the approximately 3000 students on five campuses.
Elgin Elementary School houses approximately 728 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through five.
Booker T. Washington Elementary School houses approximately 772 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through five.
Elgin Middle School houses approximately 685 students in grades six through eight.
Elgin High School houses approximately 951 students in grades nine through twelve.
Phoenix High School houses approximately 29 students in grades nine through twelve.
Phoenix High School - formerly know as Phoenix Learning Center.
Approximately 46% of the districts enrollment stems from residences outside the city of Elgin.
