Elk Rapids School District is located in beautiful northwest, lower Michigan. Twenty miles north of Traverse City, Elk Rapids lies on the point where the Chain of Lakes meets Lake Michigan. The district includes twenty-five miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and fifty miles of inland waterway shoreline. The city of Elk Rapids is in close proximity to outstanding cultural and higher-education opportunities and medical facilities.
