Although it is the experience of physical discomfort which may first prompt someone to look more deeply into Holistic healing, a Holistic Therapist knows that physical symptoms can often be indicative of a greater underlying imbalance that may or may not have a root cause in the physical. So whilst a range of holistic therapies are available to help alleviate the obvious symptoms, a holistic therapist will always address the 'whole individual' not just the physical aspect of a person where manifested illnesses are most apparent.
Some common physical triggers of physical disease might include abuse of the body through an improper diet, too little sleep or too inactive a lifestyle; other less obvious imbalances include mental or emotional pressures, or spiritual needs that have not been addressed. No aspect of mind, body or spirit is overlooked when assessing causes or cures.
