Fairfield Community Food Bank provides a limited supply of free, non-perishable food (nothing refrigerated) to persons or families living in Fairfield County who are in need and are referred by the Department of Social Services (DSS), the Red Cross, Christ Central, the Council on Aging, certain churches, or other partner human service agencies. Assistance is limited to once every 90 days for each household, unless approved by the Coordinator due to an extreme situation. The Food Bank is funded by community donations and is staffed entirely by volunteers.
