The Parks and Recreation Department provides leisure, recreational and cultural activities for all ages at the Don Showman Recreation Center and Swimming Pool, the Senior Center, the Historical Park, numerous athletic fields and 28 area parks. The Department's extensive maintenance and landscaping of the parks and medians contribute to the City’s reputation as the “City in A Park.”
