In 1864 Rev. Noah Miller, Sr. made his way from North Carolina to Spring Creek, one mile east of what is now Collinsville. He had twelve children and was distressed because there was no Baptist church near by. Calling together several families of the same faith and order, on the third Saturday in March 1866, he organized in his home a Baptish Church. The neighbors called this church "The Pleasant Home Baptist Church".
