About Us
Our basic conviction is "Jesus is Lord."
Ephesians 1:7-10 describes what this conviction means:
In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight He has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
We believe that our life together is a response to God's love, a love fully revealed in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus calls us to love God with heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. He also calls us to love one another as he has loved us.
Because God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - is at work gathering up all things in Christ, we believe God calls together the body of believers. Through the Church we covenant to be the sign to everyone of God's purpose for the whole world. Such a daring conviction can only be lived out with humility and with continuing repentance when we fall short of that covenant.
We believe the Holy Spirit has come. The new creation has begun! Therefore, "there is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). Women and men are gifted to service by the Spirit.
