Mission:

At First Baptist Church our Mission is The Great Commission! We want to reach everyone not only in Forrest City, Arkansas but in our surrounding area with the Gospel Message of Jesus! Our efforts are spread throughout the entire world through Mission Offerings and prayer support for our Southern Baptist Missionaries who are already on the mission field serving the Lord!

About Us:

First Baptist Church is a Bible believing, Bible preaching, Southern Baptist Church located in Forrest City, Arkansas which is the county seat of St. Francis County. Our church participates in community activities such as See You At the Pole as our community gathers to pray for our schools, students, teachers and parents of the students. Our youth ministry has fellowships after the football games which are home games. As a church around the Christmas Season we take time to go Christmas Caroling, as well as having a float in our annual community Christmas parade.

We participate in Missions projects such as The Gideon's Ministry, Disaster Relief, Operation Christmas Child, Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, Clothes Closet Ministry, Basket Ministry, Bonus Points Ministry, Caring Touch Quilting Ministry, Cookie Ministry and Women On Mission Ministry. Within our church we have ministries starting from bed baby ages to senior adult ages.

We believe very strongly in the power of prayer and have a prayer ministry that our members and visitors can fill out a prayer request form and they have the option to mark the request private or public. The prayer requests which are marked private are only seen by two men who are the Deacons of the week and the Pastor. The Deacons of the week are praying during our worship service for the requests which are submitted as well as praying for the service. The Pastor gets all the prayer request forms marked private after our worship service and they remain with the Pastor.
