The First Baptist Church of Sunrise Beach became a reality through the efforts of First Baptist Church of Camdenton.  With a vision from God and donated land, First Baptist of Camdenton voted in August of 1959 to proceed with the construction of the Lakeland Baptist Church (as it was known then).  In November of that year, the first service was held. We praise God for the vision to build and for His help in making that vision a reality.
