About Us:

Petersburg First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a suburban church  located in the Walnut Hill area of historic Petersburg, Virginia. We serve a diversified community and reflect that community in our congregational make up. We have people of all ages, races and genders who come together each week seeking to learn more about the living God who has grace, mercy, compassion and love for everyone. We are not perfect people, nor do we claim to be, but we strive to continue to work towards transforming ourselves and reaching out to others with the transforming power of God. We practice open communion, which means it is not necessary to be a member of this congregation or denomination to participate. We serve communion each week during both services. Our prayer is that when you worship with us through the music, prayers, spoken word and communion you will encounter God and be renewed.
